Nikos Zachariadis (1903-1973)

Nikos Zachariadis deserves great honour because 1) he first discerned the class antirevolutionary nature of the Khrushchevian revisionism and its disastrous results, 2) he first resisted with courage (1954-55) and repelled the attack of the renegade Khrushchevian social-democratic faction in the Communist Party of Greece, 3) he first initiated the communists' struggle against this antirevolutionary current, and 4) he first and only, in the whole world, paid dearly his brave attitude and his revolutionary struggle with 17 years of exile in the frozen steppes of Siberia and finally with his cowardly assassination, on August 1973, from the traitorous social-democratic  faction of Breznief-Florakis.
